London Short filmfest to host ‘Barter’

Iranian short film ‘Barter’ has been selected to compete at the 2022 London Short Film Festival (LSFF) in the UK.

Co-directed by Ziba Karamali and Emad Arad, the short film tells the story of an adolescent boy who leads his family to get involved in some incidents just because he wants to hide his secret.

Sara Bahrami and Alireza Sanifar are among the cast members of the flick.

Arad and Karamali’s short flick has already gone on screen at the Tehran International Short Film Festival in Iran, the Bolton International Film Festival in the UK, and the Huesca International Film Festival in Spain.

The LSFF is a BAFTA-qualifying short film festival. According to the festival’s website, “each January, LSFF hosts 10 days of short form, conversation and multidisciplinary curation”.

The festival is scheduled for January 14-23, 2022.
